Parviainen has started the season really well. He has 15 points in first 13 games. This game was disappointing to him however since his team suffered heavy 0-7 loss against Ilves. Parviainen had seven shots but he also got -4 during the game.

Parviainen had tough weekend. He played 26,5 minutes in Friday evening against Jukurit and this game begun around midday. For the most part, Parviainen needed to focus on defending and despite the stats, he seemed to do pretty good job at the defensive zone. His skating looked bit heavy, but he moved pretty well anyway. I would like him to play with more intensity however.

The center showed flashes of great offensive skill. When he has the puck, he dictates the tempo of play really well. He was very secure with the puck, protected it well and his passing play was excellent. He even gave an excellent pass for a breakaway during the game. He made couple of pretty good dekes too, but he relies more to his playmaking abilities than fancy dekes. The game was not good for his team and I think he deserves another look when he and his team are fresh.
