- 2019-03-06 at Blues - TPS, U20 by Asko Huuki
Pyyhtiä ended his season in U20 pretty well. He managed to make 10 points during his last 14 games in U20 league which is pretty solid number for a player not yet eligible for NHL Draft. Pyyhtiä didn’t get any points against Blues, but his overall game was good and he did well even at the penalty kill.
Pyyhtiä is not the most touted prospect even in TPS U20 team, but his development has been promising. The forward is playing solid overall game and he shows very good work ethic and responsibility at the defensive zone. He is agile skater, who accelerates quickly, but his top speed could be bit better which would help him even more. At the offensive zone and in the zone entries he showed a lot of smarts showing excellent playmaking abilities. He distributed the puck quickly and his passes were both precise and creative. His movement in the offensive zone was solid and he showed good stick-handling skills.
The forward is developing nicely and his current level of play suggests that he could become really efficient player next season.
