The big defenseman had an impressive game at the own end. He was really effective at the own end playing simple yet solid defensive game. Latvala used his size well to knock Swedish players off the puck and his strong game in front of the net really helped Team Finland during the penalty kill. His puck skills aren’t top end but he does have a heavy shot and he uses his reach well. Like many other big players, Latvala still has a work to do with his skating and he needs to improve his agility and first steps.
