- 2019-09-01 at JYP - KalPa, U16 by Lassi Alanen
Hynninen was playing left wing on KalPa’s second line in their 4-2 loss against JYP in the U16 league. The 13-year-old was the youngest player on the ice, but he was relied on heavily by his coaches and featured on both special teams.
Despite his young age, Hynninen didn’t look out of place at any point of the game. He was easily able to keep up with the pace of the game skating-wise utilizing his quickness and shiftiness. Hynninen was playing in the bumper slot on the power play and flashed really good hands and vision while doing so. He made multiple creative passes throughout the game and created good chances for his linemates many times. Hynninen also made great interceptions while JYP was trying to break out of their own zone.
