Playing left wing on the top line, Lehtosaari scored an empty-net goal in JYP’s 4-2 win over KalPa in the U16 league. The 14-year-old was also featured on the top power play.

Lehtosaari’s most notable quality was his speed and pace. The 14-year-old showcased very good quickness and he kept his feet moving all the time. Lehtosaari was able to make dekes and passes from full speed, which was particularly impressive. In the defensive zone, he was rather effective with his quickness and active stick. Lehtosaari was trusted to play during the last minute of the game, and he managed to intercept a pass and separate himself to score the final goal of the game. Given that he was one of the smallest players on the ice, Lehtosaari is playing up a level because of his speed and skill.
